ABOUT THE PROJECT

The 41-10 District has evolved organically from industrial to mixed use and retail. The City Council wants to ensure that future growth of the has a clear vision and direction for the future. We need the participation of residents, property owners and business owners for the best possible process.

WHERE IS THE 41-10 DISTRICT?

The 41-10 district of the Community Redevelopment Area (CRA) is located between US 41 (the six-lane roadway on the west and south) and Goodlette-Frank Road (the six-lane roadway on the east and north to 7th Avenue North).

The 41-10 district of the CRA includes several diverse sub-areas:

  • The southeast quarter includes the planned Naples Square development, a mix of commercial and residential units, as well as a future high-end playhouse.
  • The northeast quarter includes land, multifamily housing, a community center, a Florida Power & Light facility, and businesses that have shifted from industrial to retail and office space.
  • The southwest quarter is largely industrial-style retail and office space.
  • The northwest quarter has a mix of offices, retail shops and restaurants in formerly industrial buildings. This area has attracted architects, interior designers, home décor shops and design businesses that have created an aesthetic for the area.
